Upon hearing the news that David Beckham was not picked for Team GB football team at his summers Olympics, Blu Bird was straight into discussions with the Aquano Olympic Committee (AOC). Blu Bird insisted that Mr Beckham be aloud to represent the island of Aquano this summer,
"We cannot have Mr Beckham missing out on playing his favourite sport this summer, he is a great athlete and ambassador for sport" said Blu Bird outside the AOC offices
After long deliberation between Blu Bird and the rest of the AOC it was finalized that they would accept and allow Mr Beckham to represent Aquano at this years Olympics.
However this then proved to be a problem as Mr Beckham was not born on the island so thus could not represent in any national side. Well Blu Bird was having none of that and called out to all who could hear around the island.
"Today i formally announce that Mr David Beckham of the United Kingdom to be an honorary resident of the island of Aquano"
Once formal papers have been drafted and reviewed they will sent to Mr Beckham in the coming days with an invitational letter to represent Team Aquano at this years summer Olympics in London, as well as an invitation to visit the island to accept his Honorary Residency Certificate.
Blu Bird will be there to hand delivery or wing deliver the certificate himself. This is believed to be the first time a foreign national has been honored in such a way.
